I'm Hannah - I live in the beautiful city of York with my husband and 2 cats, currently working as Lead Web Designer for a large Veterinary company.

My love for design started when I was younger, taking and editing photographs, begging my dad to buy photoshop for the first time so I could practice. Design has been a really important aspect of my life but it took me until 28 years old to realise I could make this into a viable career option.

I studied Primary Education in University, discovering an ability to communicate effectively and to empathise well with others. I then moved into property, working at an Estate Agency in York and owning&running my own property business on the side. This business still continues still and I love putting my heart&soul into my own houses, knowing they're well cared for.

In 2019 I began a Master's Degree in Graphic Design, fulfilling my need to continuously learn and grow. My curiousity developed and expanded over the two year Degree, and I finally graduated in 2021 with a Distinction.

In 2023, I completed my Diploma in UX Design, an area of design that has always held great passion in my work. I finished with another Distinction!

​

I am always completing/starting side projects, attending design meetups and absorbing new information and trends through blogs. 

​

In my current role as Lead Web Designer, I am focusing on developing our own CMS, improving the usability and user experience of these websites and providing training to veterinary practices to keep their sites up-to-date.

 

This role, Graphic Design degree has led me down a wonderful, Digitally Designed path!
