My initial journey involved researching the factors contributing to poor mental health in young adults, as well as strategies to improve wellbeing during difficult times like lockdowns. With the subscription I wanted to enable young adults to be  access a range of tools and resources to help support their mental health journey.

After extensive research, I discovered that gardening and plant cultivation can have a profound impact on one's mental health. Inspired by this, I developed the idea for a monthly subscription service, delivering a variety of seeds to your doorstep. Each month, you receive a new selection of seeds to cultivate, providing a fun and fulfilling way to connect with nature and improve your wellbeing.

This app and subscription box needed to feel wholesome, organic, enlightening and warm. I used many physical materials to develop the subscription box, and produce a conceptual box for deliveries. I also began working on developing an app to help users track their plant growth, know how to care for certain foliage.

Alongside designing the app in Figma, I created a physical version of the subscription box, and began to collect feedback not just from my course peers but also from local gardening experts - I approached a number of florists and garden centre owners who had been affected by lack of income during lockdown to see how they could imagine this working. Is this a suitable business option?
